Mertonboys
SUCCESS FROM THE START

1998 Club Founded

The Past Where it all began… The year was 1998, the place for Merton College, a group of friends picked up a ball and bat and started a cricket team, and they called it Merton Boys. The rest is history, 25 years of history!
Entered Top Community Leagues

1998-2005

We started by playing against other colleges and entered The Skandamoorthy league in the year 2000. We then entered the well-known British Tamils Cricket League in 2005, where we have grown as a team and progressed to their top tier.

MORE MEMBERS, MORE MEDALS

2005 - Now

20 years is not something we are taking lightly. One club, managed by hard working volunteers, with the purpose to serve the local community.
With three teams within BTCL the future not only looks bright for MBCC but for the whole Tamil community. The MBCC family currently has over 60 members, growing year on year. Our goal is to build a dynamic cricketing community in the UK amongst Tamil diaspora and to develop a pool of young talents within our own community. Standing strong for many years to come!
